About

Creative expression has interested me since I was very little and over the years I have experimented with textiles, watercolour, graphite, acrylic, gouache, pastel and my favourite: coloured pencils. I will never stop loving the challenges and the subtle nuances of traditional techniques as I desire to capture moments of nature: translation of movements, caught, still, yet breathing, alive with passion. Expressions of the world alive, around us.

My inspiration is nature, especially birds and plants. I love outdoor life and observing details fascinate me; textures and colours. In my creations I try to reflect what I capture through the photographs I have taken, that connect me with some place; or some discovery made simply with a foray into my garden.

Color is a recurring element in my drawings and it is my personal stamp. Perhaps that is what unites everything I do, maybe because my origins in South America.

I use digital illustration as a new artistic tool, sometimes as a way of mixing different art-pieces and turning it into new ones. My expression of what my mind sees and feels has pushed me to venture into designing patterns for printing and text illustrations.

I firmly believe that creativity is a never ending story, especially with opened eyes to enjoy what surrounds us.
